How to delete your Swapsease account

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Option 1: Delete from within the app

The quickest way to request account deletion is directly in the Swapsease app:

  1. Open Swapsease and go to the My Home tab.
  2. Tap the profile icon at the top right corner.
  3. Select DELETE ACCOUNT and confirm.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you cannot access your account, email us at jl@jl-intelligence.com with the subject line Account deletion request.

Please include the email address linked to your Swapsease account so we can locate and process your request. We aim to action deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we will remove or anonymise:

  • Your Cognito account and authentication data.
  • Your profile information, including name and profile photo.
  • Your home listing, photos, and listing data.
  • Your matches and chat messages.
  • Ratings and reviews associated with your account.
  • Related DynamoDB records where technically feasible.

Certain records may be retained for a limited period where required by law, to resolve disputes, or for safety purposes.

Apple subscription

Deleting your Swapsease account does not automatically cancel your Swapsease Unlimited subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through your Apple ID settings to stop future billing.

To cancel: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Swapsease.
